In 1949, Marcus Morris toured London publishers with three different issues of Eagle. On the front cover was the Chaplain Dan Dare story and the two pages that you have read here were from the first issue.

I believe another issue below, shows what was to become of the actual first issue but did not have the title of the strip or, of course, the date.

I am now on the look-out for any Lex Christian strips (if they still exist) - Anyone????
