The Boys Coumic Journal was yet another successful title from the Edwin J. Brett stable. Although it had the word 'comic' in the title, the content of the stories consisted of the usual adventure stories that was the norm for this period.

The title started on the 17th March 1883 and ran for 788 issues until the 16th April 1898.
