No I actually just did ghost work wnen Mal was still alive. I left DCT soon after he died. I did a few strips years later for Beano max. it wasn't that close to dave parkins style though :oops:

Hi jonny I only ever ghosted for billy. The first ones I drew where about 18 years ago and they were ghost jobs of the original style . Thanks for pointing all that out. I do take it in good spirit. I wasn't trying to be harsh with you I really couldn't find those other errors and there they were in the Beano picture. LOL! thanks for pointing that out . Some of those spelling errors were corrected Caricature should not be showing up wrong now so not sure why your seeing it that way but Thanks I missed a few. :oops:

ask for Plate bristol board, its more expensive but thats the one Ken uses , it has the shiny
surface you mentioned. can be hard to find sometimes but strathmore do it in pads.

Funny you should say that about Ken H I met ken with A Dan in hand and it had the biggest white out on it covering a third of the page and I remember saying wow what a patch but you are right most of the pages I saw of Kens had no whiteout, I like making mistakes just so I can splash it on :lol:

Gilliot 303's are are good nibs.( you can order them from Scribblers) im sure Tom P told me he used them or something similar, I dont think hes a brush man. I might be wrong the conversation was 18 years ago . Steve Bright uses the 303's. Markers and brush pens are pretty great these days I love mic...

Lew I just realised why. its because I'm from near Liverpool , thats how they pronounce it
and it carried over to Southport I guess. We always got clip if we said it lol!. ( non thread related) Also wanted to say good look with your new strip for the Beano :D .
