Re: Who will be in the top 75 best Dandy characters...
Andy Fanton said he would be doing a 2-pager of Bad Grandad, and there's rumours about Harry Hill. so here's my top 10: Julius Sneezer The Smasher Corporal Clott Bad Grandad Harry Hill Monkey Bizness Beryl The Peril The Badd Lads Robin Hood's Schoolboys (note: some but not all of these were featured...

Re: This weeks Dandy
So this is technically the first time since 1984 that Kooky's took centre stage of the comic (and yes, I know he was on the side of the logo for 14 years afterwards, but korky WAS the character that the readers first saw one cold December in 1937.)

Re: Baby Face is back
Ooh nice to see some golden oldies returning from the past! I recall a friend of Hunt Emerson's saying he wanted to draw Les Pretend.. can you tell whether he is now?

Re: Baby Face is back
One thing I remember from a while ago is that Little Plum featured in a full-page advert in The Dandy stating about it's demise and that the subscription moves to the Beano. So I wonder if this means Little Plum's coming back later this year or perhaps this week?

Re: VHS Recordings wanted
I recall watching the programme in the early 2000s- Never knew it was made for the US (espically for kids.. well, it probably explained the playset at christmas) I always thought Robot Wars was a weird mix of LWT's Gladiators and Doctor Who.. clever concept though!

Re: VHS Recordings wanted
Robot Wars was BBC, and I don't think it was a kids programme Please would you be able to make a copy of that documentary for me, Steve?

Re: VHS Recordings wanted
Funny you should mention Comics Britannia- All 4 episodes have been sitting on my Sky + for 4 years, believe it or not! Was a great programme (despite some of the facts being incorrect.. OH BBC! ) I'm not sure whether I have seen the documentary Steve said about- I'm fairly certain I haven't

Re: VHS Recordings wanted
Of course I can be a bit more specific! I'm looking for Children's ITV/ CITV programmes broadcast on television between 1990 and 2001 such as Zzzap!, Art Attack, Sooty, Rosie & Jim, etc. (Bear in mind I do NOT want official VHS tapes that can be purchased from Amazon). I'm also after clips relating ...

VHS Recordings wanted
Hello everybody, it's been a while since I've been on here last- thought I'd ask some of you collectors a question/search which I want to be fulfilled. Basicially, I am a collector of old Children's ITV programmes from 1990-2001/Beano & Dandy clips. I was just wondering whether anybody on here has a...

Re: This week's issue Take 2
No offence or anything, but have the Beano staff ran out of ideas for covers? A very similar cover to this week's issue was published this time last summer- here's the proof: 1926379-beano3595_super.jpg I believe the editor of the Beano appears on here now and again, so I want to say two things: tha...

Re: TV Comic - which publisher & non-TV strip memories
Thanks for more images Phil (I was a member of your Beano & Dandy club a while back, so that's how I know it's you..) much appreciated- to be honest, I was a bit too young to remember Pippin or Playhour haha; nonetheless, would be nice to see some scans! May also get in contact with British Li...

Re: TV Comic - which publisher & non-TV strip memories
This seemed relevant for this topic but can anyone on here provide me with a scan of "Harry Corbett's Sooty" from TV Comic? I'm currently writing a book all about Sooty, and there's not much information/ high quality pictures about it on here. I know Tony Hart drew it, and it ran between 1954-1956. ...
