Re: The year in review?
The year has been a curate's egg for me. I have brought my wants list for Commando down from over 600 at the start of the year to a deal, once complete, where I will need less than 300 to complete the run. I have lifted my Fleetway PL collection from less than 500 to over 1000. I have gone from one...

Re: ComicScene UK is coming to selected WHSmith in December
My Smiths had large numbers of this, but as with the previous reply it appears to have completely shifted its focus so I didn't pick one up. Best of luck with it though. All I would say... the cover artwork is really very poor. If you're looking to compete with everything else on the shelf then the ...

Re: What comics DIDN'T you buy today?
My local Oxfam has a huge amount of the judge dredd hardback partworks, I was thinking about getting them as they're less than a third of the new price, can anyone tell me if the cursed earth one has the 'banned' issues in it? I know they've been reprinted now so should be included but I wanted to b...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
And even then I always thought that the ball was massive! The ball was actually small. It only seemed 'massive' because all the footballers were pigmies. Now I’m bound to get the run of the Diana Avengers strip bound to complement it. You may need to be patient if you must have the strip in the iss...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
Bought the bound vol of the jan-jul 1966 of June which has the full run of the Growing Up of Emma Peel strip. Really pleased to get it, easily the hardest Avengers strip to complete from the sixties.
Now I’m bound to get the run of the Diana Avengers strip bound to complement it.
Happy days.

Re: What comics did you buy today?
Fair play, I’ve been racking my brains over what it could be - subbuteo! Well done that man! As to the cricket and marking out the pitch, well I just admit that I played it with my granddad and older brother in the early seventies and wasn’t much impressed, it certainly didn’t seem like cricket to m...

Re: Bas***ds
If you started a return request through eBay (which you still can as you received the empty envelope - so the reason for the return would have been items missing) the seller would have been duty bound to accept the return AND provide a prepaid return address slip, which if you then get scanned at th...

Re: Ebay deals
Managed an £8.90 saving!
I do like these deals that they just bring out of no-where, certainly helps to concentrate the mind on what you actually want to buy!

Re: Ebay sales: Good price for the seller, buyer or both??
Actually there also is another reason for this - if someone goes to list an item and looks up one that is already listed or has already sold and clicks on 'sell similar item' eBay will pre-fill in the title using the previously listed one. Its actually a design feature. Its happened to me a number o...

Gutted for you! Such an annoyance when this happens, you did your bit, the seller did theirs and still the fates conspire to send it hurtling off the tracks!

Exceptional price, but also one of the nicest copies I've seen in years. Its almost shop fresh. Looks nicer than the one my dad bought for me when it was released!
You'll never regret paying top dollar for the genuinely high grades of anything.

Re: Energy Gun
I too saw this and I’m not convinced it’s from a comic at all, also I think if it was earlier than say early eighties then the band would have perished.
But interested if anyone knows for sure.
