On Antiques Road Trip on Really channel last night Tim Medhurst picked up an Eagle Dan Dare pop-up book from 1953. But he didn't buy it. And on classic Cash in the Attic last week a man made a few hundred quid selling his comic collection. Mostly silver age Marvel but some Alan Class stuff.

A small section about comics on the Footage Detectives just now on Talking Pictures TV. It's normally repeated early in the week but isn't this week but there is an older repeat Thursday morning so this one will be repeated sooner or later.

The latest episode of Salvage Hunters, season 16 episode 13, starts with printing plates for two issues of Creepy Worlds. If you read this before 10.00pm on Wednesday 12th October you can see it on Quest+, and I'm sure it'll be repeated a few times over the next week.

You can see it, the 9th October episode, online at https://www.tptvencore.co.uk/Video/The- ... 690e96475b You might need to register, but that's free, and you'll need to sit through the commercials.stevezodiac wrote: ↑09 Oct 2022, 17:49A small section about comics on the Footage Detectives just now on Talking Pictures TV. Posting today from the better late than never department...
It's issue 954 of The Beezer, dated 27th April 1974.
It's an issue of Valiant and TV21, dated 13th April 1974.jakob1978 wrote: ↑10 Sep 2011, 17:00as a follow up to my previous post about the character of Heslop reading a Beezer in the first episode of Porridge, he also appeared in the second episode (The Hustler) where he can be seen reading another comic.
It looks like it's a copy of Smash...is that the second half of a double page spread of "The Swots and the Blots", and if so, what's the strip whose title you can only just see in the second pic...Captain something??

Watching an old Bargain Hunt on Challenge I noticed an edge of a comic in the gackground which I first thought was Tales of Suspense but now think its Spider Man Comics Weekly.

Just checked the SMCW covers on GCD and it's not that title.
Re: Comics on TV
I think it's an issue of "Batman" (DC) but unsure on which.
Re: Comics on TV
The comic on the top shelf is Batman no 196 from Nov 1967.
