What comics DIDN'T you buy today?

Talk here about just about anything associated with British comics or story papers and the industry that does not fit in any other forum.
There are separate fora open to registered members for discussing specific comics, artists, websites etc.

I seldom read yours, Lew and I only occasionally look at DTT, mainly because Colin always tells me how good it is, but it's a difficult site to navigate. Also, I followed the link to your blog and there was no further info on the page count, (although I could have missed that bit) so, really, little that could not have been garnered from reading the cover in Tesco. DTT goes into a bit more detail.
But again, to go back to the point I keep making about the lack of British comics available on the high st, where I live and in neighouring towns, it is very difficult, if not impossible to find Doctor Who Magazine and Commando, and there are very few outlets selling the American reprint titles. So, even if I find out all this info on your blog, I can't go out and shop for it.
I know you'll now tell me how good British comics are, but there is almost sfa for me, and I find very little in small press at the marts that is anything near decent quality, in my opinion of course.
I await stuff that'll be flung at my napper. Ducking already.
Fair enough, but I cover old comics too, which I presume members of this forum are interested in. But as you admit you seldom read it, perhaps you haven't noticed.

It'll only be in the shops for another few days, Chris. The next issue comes out next Thursday, so grab it while you can if you're interested.

Unfortunately, I live near to Paw. Nowhere to buy them. Maybe FP will have a back issue.

I always look into your website, Lew. I don't comment but I i'm never disappointed. Keep it up. I think you'll find that you have more fans than you're actually aware of - the silent observers

Along with Steve Holland's Bear Alley I'd say that your blog is essential reading for anyone interested in British comics Lew!

Fortunately, the trouble'n'strife works in Auld Reekie and managed to get the last copy (so why am I posting this in comics I didn't buy?)

another silent observer for Lew here (with strong recommendations for Slay Monster Robot of the Deep, Comics Make No Sense, Comics Should Be Good and Steve Does Comics [who has probably read this post but can't remember a thing about it])

Thanks for the support of Blimey!, folks. I don't wish to derail the thread though, so perhaps a new thread might be good, where people can recommend comics blogs/websites that they think might be of interest to members?

As mentioned before my first port of call is---
http://allthingsger.blogspot.co.uk/
---it usually contains lots of humour strips and I like to start the day well, also as with most good blogs it is updated regularly .
2nd or 3rd port of call is Lew's blog which has a good mix of u.k.comics old and new and you cannot fault him at times trying to flog his own material.
Both blogs are easy to follow without being weighed down with lots of statistics.
and of course comics uk is in the top three , other comic blogs are visited less frequently before I pass on to the news.

So I didn't buy the TV Comic 674 on eBay, and now in the cold light of day and considering I threw what I thought to be a crazy bid at it just to ensure I won it, I'm now extremely glad I didn't...

That's a helluva price.
