saw this article in today's Daily Mail. I don't know how to add links so I've copied it from their website.

Sharpen your pencils and prepare to tickle some ribs: the hunt is on for Britain’s best aspiring cartoonists.
Each year the Young Cartoonists of the Year competition run by the British Cartoonists’ Association attracts thousands of entries – offering the chance to be judged by the best in the business.
This year’s panel includes cartoonists from nearly every national daily newspaper, including the Daily Mail’s incomparable Mac.
Jack Magee, winner of last year’s under-18 category, is in his final year at Earlston High School in the Scottish Borders and has become a regular contributor of cartoons to a local magazine.
He plans to delay going to university to see if he can forge a career as a cartoonist.
Other previous winners include Will McPhail in 2013, who has had work published in newspapers and magazines including The New Yorker, New Statesman, Private Eye and The Spectator.
Nick Edwards, the 2009 winner, was awarded an Emmy in 2014 for his work on US animated TV show Uncle Grandpa.
Nick Newman, Private Eye cartoonist and one of the judges, said: ‘The joke has always been that we try to find the young talent so we can break their fingers, but we want to encourage them and keep the cartooning torch going.’

Entrants in both age groups – under 18 and under 30 – are asked for an original cartoon, in colour or black and white, drawn freehand to a maximum size of A4.
Entries must be submitted by November 16 to The Young Cartoonists of the Year Competition, The Cartoon Museum, 35 Little Russell Street, London, WC1A 2HH.
