The third issue of The Atomic Comic is finished, and now the magazine has gone print! The magazine is 32 pages with a full-colour front cover drawn for us specially by Tom Paterson, which is to go with his very first interview inside.

There's lots more inside, see more previews here:

The magazine cost $10 (NZD) + postage fro New Zealand. You can also get a digital copy for $5. If you'd like to order a copy email: whizzerandchips@live.com

Thanks all - if you buy a copy I hope you enjoy it!! :D :D

I followed the link to issue #2 and noticed that you had become aware of the original Atomic Comic. I can shed a bit more light on it for you. It was published by Fudge & Co. Ltd., Sardinia House, Kingsway, London. However, there is a some doubt as to the date. If, as I believe, there was only 1 issue, then there are 2 possible dates. The guide shows 1947 and the issue on CB+ has been dated at 1949. This and the other Fudge titles, incl. Fudge comic; Bang On Comic, only list the publisher address and the comics aren't numbered or dated. There is a fair chance that the Guide date is the right one.
Apart from all that, the Atomic Comic includes humour strips by Bob Wilkin.
If you want to read it, here it is:-

I can post a link to your wordpress site on CB+, if that would help. Let me know.

Thanks for the info. I know that two versions of the comic were printed - one in purple and one green so maybe it was reprinted?

If you could post a link that would be great

I seem to remember there was another Atomic Comic fanzine published in the 1970s (in fact I think I might have had a drawing in it).

Some lousy cropping on that cover there, unfortunately. The word Interview is cut off on the right and Tom's signature is sliced in half at the bottom.

Richard I posted off some NJ notes to George last week for Atomic. The postage for the magazine wasn't a lot, a couple of quid, all in all was around £7 for everything. Well worth it in my opinion
