Just found out about London Horror Comic which has been around since 2006. I must admit, it does look interesting and has had good reviews. Anyway, ordered issue 7.
it does look interesting but not at 8 quid a pop i've had to stop judge dredd and commando at the mo as cant afford them.
£8 is a lot nor do I know what I'm getting for my money yet. However, since it appears to come out at most annually, not a huge expense.

Hi, Richard.

Certainly would have been interested as I am getting the copy from the States so postage is expensive. What do you think of it?

oooh, I haven't read it for a long time and it's not part of my 'core' collection so I'm happy to let it go - it's very professionally produced

Horror stories seem suited to short stories, which is why I think they turn up in annuals and picture story libraries such as Scream!http://girlscomicsofyesterday.com/2016/07/scream-1997/, Nightmares and Chill Out!

The spooky storyteller was also a common occurrence in comics, I think atmosphere is also important, there's a Skeleton Corner story, where a girl removes a painting of a gate in her room and then knocking starts happening, the girl doesn't come to a bad end, but it is very creepy story as the knocking gets closer Image

Father Shandor comes to mind from Warrior. A fantasy strip with a lot of horror.

Considering the general interest, I still maintain that there's room for a monthly fantasy/horror (emphasis on horror) comic. Being horror, its strips could be in black & white for the atmospheric quality and therefore saving money/time.
