People did a similar thing with the last issue The Dandy and some got away with it.Lew Stringer wrote:You're not the one trying to flog it for £49.99 are you? According to Lew Stringer at http://lewstringer.blogspot.co.uk/2017/ ... order.html this book collects all the strips from Valiant. Jack then appeared in Battle & Valiant fo a while, so that could make up a second volume, hopefully with Jack's appearances in Valiant specials and annuals added.

Yup, that's me, in for a penny... in for £49.99!SID wrote:People did a similar thing with the last issue The Dandy and some got away with it.Lew Stringer wrote:You're not the one trying to flog it for £49.99 are you? Re: One-Eyed Jack's back!
The only problem I can see is that last issue of The Dandy was sold mainly in high street shops so when it ran out, people panicked and resorted to eBay (without thinking that DCT had its own website that they could have purchased from). One-Eyed Jack on the other hand I would imagine will be bought more on-line (yes I take it that Forbidden Planet & other specialist shops will be selling it but they are hardly your local store for most people). So possibly more difficult to sell for £49.99 (plus P&P) on eBay? In the short term anyway. I personally would monitor 2000ADOnline and sell it once they have sold out.Lew Stringer wrote:Yup, that's me, in for a penny... in for £49.99!SID wrote:People did a similar thing with the last issue The Dandy and some got away with it.koollectablz wrote: You're not the one trying to flog it for £49.99 are you? But good luck.

Re: One-Eyed Jack's back!
Well I'm slowly but surely selling the Diana Avengers reprint book too (three so far) for double and they're still available too...
Only difference here is that I bought the O-EJ book for myself but didn't actually think much of it when I got it. Hoping for better from the LFLS!!

I also hope people buy it from Rebellion as it helps fund more releases.

I only felt the need to buy one copy, which I ordered in advance of its publication. It arrived promptly from 30th Century Comics, extremely well packed. It cost far less than I would have had to pay if I had bought the run of Diana that contained the episodes, so I'm well pleased.koollectablz wrote:Well I'm slowly but surely selling the Diana Avengers reprint book too (three so far) for double and they're still available too.

Goes to show how much people rely on eBay. Most likely they were not even aware of Big Finish (else they would have checked their site and bought from them).koollectablz wrote:Well I'm slowly but surely selling the Diana Avengers reprint book too (three so far) for double and they're still available too...

Re: One-Eyed Jack's back!
I bought my copy of the Diana Avengers book from Deadhead in Edinburgh when they had a table at the E/B Con. I also bought a few other G.N.'s from them as they are relatively local, they're not F.P. and even though I already had digital copies of the stories, I was supporting a local business. Also, I order tpb collections of various stories from Baanjaxx Comics in Stirling cos Dave's a decent bloke, it's a small, independent shop and we should all support local shops. Also, Stirling is a good day out and it's only 20 minutes by train.
I'm not buying O-EJ as I don't think the stories and art are very good and it doesn't appeal to me. The Leopard, however, is different class and I await the book's arrival with anticipation.
