Mr Eterno and I are planning a smash and grab, but don't tell anyone.

You could replace it with this week's Beano and change "oldest" to "newest".

There is a rumour that the exhibition of the oldest comic in the world, the Glasgow Looking Glass, ended in tragedy. The comic has actually disappeared. Please keep a look out for anyone advertising this comic.

Ha!

As Hawkeye knows, because it was his direction that put me on the trail, I have just been extremely fortunate to manage to buy the complete run of 19 comics of The Glasgow Looking Glass which became the Northern Looking Glass and includes the two "New Series" editions produced later in 1826. The seller has had the set, which is bound, in her family since her Grandfather bought them some one hundred years ago. I haven't posted anything here yet as they aren't due to be delivered until tomorrow. I'm very happy with my purchase!
