EPIC being cancelled

Sorry to hear that EPIC magazine is being cancelled especially since DCT tried it's best to keep it going through various revamps and name changes since it's BeanoMAX days.

One thing that still puzzles me is why DCT disassociated the comic from Dennis, Gnasher & co. Surely a D&G magazine would have been more popular?

They should have kept it as Beano max and not done the silly magazine type crap that was oh such a big success for dandy in the extreme days, i never bought any since they changed to epic, but still not nice to hear of a magazine /coic folding even DC are cutting way back and cancelling title and omnibus ,just as i have started buying them, i love em and bought 8 in the last 2 weeks even though they are way over my budget

The last issue I bought was the February 2014 issue (just before it became Dennis and Gnasher's Epic magazine)

Hoping there will be more work for the artists who lost work from the strips (I am sure there will)

I bought 156 and 157. At 13 years and one month, that's actually not a bad run, even though it had several identity changes, and considering how low a budget it ran on compared to its early days when its strip content was much higher and its feature content much lower.

When it lost the Dennis and Gnasher branding, it moved out of the Beano editorial group to the same side of the house as children's magazines such as 110% gaming.
