PETER CLARK

Post by alanultron5 »

I have opened this `thread` to give praise to `Sparky` writer Peter Clark. Only recently has it emerged on this board that Peter was indeed the person responsible for those superb `I.Spy` scripts from 1969 to 1971.

I don't know what other comics and strips Peter wrote for-but just on his I. Spy work alone, it is clear that he is a man of immense talent for plotlines etc!

No greater sample of his work is the I.Spy story "Operation I.Spy / Operation Grab". British comics world Vol 1 No 5 gave this story the very highest accolades!

For what was basically a `fun` comic aimed at (in my guess) were 9 to 14 year olds, the story is one of the most sophisticated and cerebrally challenging pieces of work I think I have ever encountered in such a comic!

I would be most interested if anyone else can give examples of Peters other work in comics please!
A Face unclouded by thought.
