Apologies for using my first post as a plug, but Pat Mills will be appearing at Plymouth University next Tuesday to launch an exhibition of images from Charley's War.
He'll be doing a meet and greet from 6pm, followed by a talk/Q&A from 7pm, in the Levinsky Building.
The images are high quality scans (36 in all) from the comic, enlarged to A3 and A2 and accompanied by a commentary on Joe Colquhoun's art.
The exhibition is free and the talk is £6.60
Thanks,
Doc

Re: Pat Mills and Charley's War in Plymouth
We have just had Pat Mills at Dundee Comics Day and he was in fine form. I'd highly recommend anyone to go along for that reason alone.
And having Joe's work expanded to A3 and A2 size as well. Oh wow!

I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

Expanded? If it's the same exhibition that was at the Lakes Comic Art Festival last week it's the original artwork, which is of course larger than printed size.colcool007 wrote:We have just had Pat Mills at Dundee Comics Day and he was in fine form. Unfortunately, we couldn't get hold of any original Charley's War art, but we have blown up scans provided by Titan. They look fantastic, even if I do say so myself!
We'll be displaying 36 images, both full pages from the strip and individual panels and their will be a booklet with a commentary on the images.
The discussion will be Pat and I talking about CW with questions and comments from the audience. It should be a good night, so pop along if you are in the South West!

Will it be possible to get hold of the booklet if we can't make it to the exhibition itself?
I'd be happy to make a donation to cover printing and postage
