Thanks Phoenix, I've updated the Anne Digby entry now.
jintycomic.wordpress.com/ Excellent and weird stories from the past - with amazing art to boot.

'Ella's Big Sacrifice' is a fun tale about Paradise Found, Lost & Found Again (albeit with a slight overuse of the word 'lovely'), but one odd thing is that it actually appears to be a sequel to a previous story. In the interview Anne mentions that Schoolgirls' Own Library often reprinted serials from Fleetway's weeklies so it may well be that the characters had already appeared elsewhere - either written by Anne herself or another author.

Realise this is a very old thread! - but if it’s still of interest then A Horse Called September began in Tammy 7 August 1982 (I don't have the end date sorry, just saw it randomly yesterday). Art is by Eduardo Feito.

A Horse Called September started 17 July and ended 13 November 1982.

And let's not forget another Anne Digby / Eduardo Feito Tammy classic, Olympia Jones. https://jintycomic.wordpress.com/2017/0 ... 1976-1977/
