Junior Express / Express Weekly editors and art editors ?

Post by wigwam »

Who can help me find detailed information on the editors and the art editors of Junior Express / Express Weekly?

As far as I can tell, John Musgrave-Wood was the first editor (Junior Express, 1954-1955). He was succeeded by Reginald Taylor (Express Weekly, 1955-1957). Last(?) editor was Lewis Patience (Express Weekly, 1957-?). Now I would like to get the exact dates of their reign.
About their assistants, if any, I know absolutely nothing.

And information on the art editors is welcome too. Names, dates, et cetera.

Perhaps there are some clues in Ron Embleton's Wulf the Briton: The Complete Adventures, but I do not own this book.

Thanks.

The book says that in the autumn of 1959 the art editor was a chap called Maurice King

The editor of the Wulf book is Peter Richardson (currently the editor of Illustrators magazine so may be best to contact him directly iq@bookpalace.com)
