Steve Ditko has been found dead in his apartment. He was 90.

He certainly lived life the way he wanted it. More a celebration than commiseration.

i thought there would have been more coverage in the press and tv etc as he co created many of the marvel heroes people watch in cinema today but its like people only know Stan lee.when dear old stan goes there will be a day of mourning from the nerd universe.

Bri, you may have missed it but his death was reported on the BBC News website. I consider that a well deserved acknowledgement of his creative prowess and in itself a breakout from our usual comic news outlet circle.

BBC 4 had a piece about him on their Last Word show. I think it's repeated on Friday at 4pm. You hear Ditko's voice.
