Apollo. Hmmmmm.

Thanks Lew. After 36 years into British Comics I thought I had seen most titles but never seen this before.

Earl.

Sorry folks but it was an April Fool. There was never a comic called Apollo. I created the covers in Photoshop and the photo above is a complete fake too. It only "exists" inside my computer I'm afraid. :)

Well there you go.

I sat here scratching my head wondering why I had never seen one before and off to ebay to see if I could find one.

Hi Lew. Hope you are on the mend. I own up to being completely fooled. I was going to come on here and say that 'Apollo' was so unusual it was akin to one of those comic titles that you're subconscious mind invents to populate the shelves of those newsagents shops that you visit now and again in your dreams and, I suppose, in that regard I wasn't too far wrong.

You're the last person I expected it to fool Ray! Anyway, I hope no one wasted too much time searching eBay for copies.

You're right Nigel. It went down like a lead balloon with some people.

(The Lead Balloon being the free gift in Apollo No.1 incidentally. )

Don't have much time at present. I've plugged the birthday issue on my blog today but won't be doing a nostalgic look back just yet.
