Crikey 7 out now

Post by Lew Stringer »

I picked up copies of Crikey! 6 and 7 at the Birmingham Comic Show, directly from Brian Clarke. Pleased to see the mags are improving all the time. They kindly showed me an on-screen preview of a few pages from No.8, - a Christmas issue which will be in full colour!

Just got my copy today and devoured it. Liked the Tornado piece and the article on Halo Jones. In fact, not a duff article out of the lot.

The only thing that grated was that someone can't add! To say that Hitler was closer to Tornado than us is simply duff maths! It was 34 years from the war ending (1945) to Tornado being published (1979), but it's a mere 29 years away from us today.

The most interesting thing in the magazine, for me, was Jenni Scott's article on her Comic Saturday. Not usually my favourite article, but it was interesting to read about her comic experiences as a kid that lived overseas.
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!
