Just a heads up to tell you that I'm featuring some Christmas comics of the past on my blog over today and tomorrow. Frolix and The Skipper showcased so far. More to come:

Not seen that Beezer masthead before, pretty clever putting it on a sleigh! Four years of blogging eh? A good achievement considering you're obviously busy with your work.

Here are a few Christmas covers from stuff I brought over from my Mum's earlier this week. Just noticed the initials GA at the bottom of the 1964 Wham cover, very rare example of Graham Allen signing his comic work.

What great Wham! covers..

Also fun seeing the past at Christmas..
the war one dressed as Santa was a bit chilling..very strange mix..and the British soldiers dressed as comical Germans...is it the one where they play football at Christmas?

You've got me thinking - that paper was published in 1931 so eight years before WW2 and 13 after WW1. Would it not have been indelicate to mock the great war? I don't know what the relationship between Britain and Germany was in 1931 so difficult to say.
