Here's an interview of sorts with Nigel Maughan, who worked on a ridiculous amount of comics over the years:

Oink, The Truth, Viz, Elephant Parts, Gas, Acne, Fizog, Trout, Sunday Sport Adult Celebrity Comic, Fizz, Top Banana, Scurvy Dog, Zit, Gutter, Gutted, Pulp, Ziggy, Spit, Smut, UT, Bloody Hell, Gag, C'Mon Ref, Rammie, etc....

Some interesting behind-the-scenes stuff, rejection letters and the like. Just wish I had more of a clue about how to conduct interviews!

Hey, great, fantastic etc, first update in a while - it's about a comic called Top Banana, featuring Nick Brennan, Lee Healey, Nick Miller and several others:

There's a small competition of sorts included as well, for anyone that's interested.

First update in a while... Taking a look at Pulp, the sister-title to the controversial Ziggy:

Here's a fairly massive article about Acne, as well as those that sprung from it, namely Fizog, Fizz, and The Big Greenie:

POSSIBLY the biggest article I've done, so far.

Sorry, only just seen this question!

Yes, yes I do

According to Kev Sutherland, the comic was both ahead of its time and behind its time - there was only ever one issue unfortunately, but what an issue that was...

Just done the first part of a six-part look at Brain Damage, which in turn make up the first of an eight-part look at the various humour comics put out by Galaxy Publications over the years:

http://twoheadedthingies.blogspot.co.uk ... .html#more

Brain Damage is an excellent comic, truly - features stuff from Anthony Smith, Borin Van Loon, Charlie Brooker, Clive Walker, Cluff (John Longstaff), Dave Colton, Davy Francis, Doug Cameron, Hunt Emerson, Joe Matthews, John Erasmus, JT Dogg (Malcolm Douglas), Kev Sutherland, Kevin Woodcock, Larry (Terence Parkes), Martin Honeysett, Mike Roberts, Neil Bennet, PJ Polyp, Stevie Best, StiK (Bill Greenhead), Tony Husband, Tony Reeve, Wendy Holdon...

First update in ages, due to life-related things, it's all about Khaki Shorts, a Scottish underground comic that now has a "best of" collection available:

Thanks :D

That was the idea - the nineties as a whole tends to be marginalised when it comes to comics history, just doing my bit...

Something about the public domain Communist superheroine comic Octobriana... Well, a new book that's out that tells you everything you'd ever need to know about her:

http://twoheadedthingies.blogspot.co.uk ... raphy.html

There's some graphic images in there, but they're hidden right at the bottom of the post... Just a warning!

Big thing about Talking Turkey comic here:
http://twoheadedthingies.blogspot.co.uk ... .html#more

Put out by Galaxy Publications from 1991-1992, Talking Turkey mixed homegrown talent (Hunt Emerson, Graham Higgins, Phil Baber etc) with American underground classics and translations of top-grade European comics, which makes for an interesting mix...
