I always found it a bit of a mess, to be honest. It ought to work better as a blog, and as blogger is "free", let them handle the hotlinking!
(which they can do with simple, widely-available scripts to prevent it)

The main site has a lot of interviews and other resources. I'm in the process, slowly, of adding these to the Ning forum now or creating dedicated blogs for some sections, like my "Creating Comics" section, which is now here: http://creating-comics.blogspot.co.uk/

Yeah, cheers for spotting! Got a much better deal, now in the process of transferring stuff across to the new format.
