Comics & G.N. Uni Course.

Post by paw broon »

Although this has little to do with British comics, it might, nevertheless, be of interest.

The course seems to be free and I am intrigued enough to sign up.

Sounds like it'll just cover the basic history of American comics. Any knowledge it could impart could easily be found in any well-researched books on comics.

That was not my understanding, having read the summary of the course objectives. But, why should we bother trying to look further into a great hobby?
I will probably learn something new and, perhaps, discover new comics literature to study and enjoy. Also, the reflection of society on the comic page, as a society changes and evolves is a subject I find intriguing.

I agree! (though I'm less sure that your fellow students will be interested in exploring the subject on that level)
