Hi Lew, for some reason I'm having difficulty in responding via your blog so with regard to the George Formby/Red Skelton mystery the solution is not as convoluted as it might first appear. This 1953 George Formby strip was doctored and reprinted as a Red Skelton strip in Film Fun no 1944 in 1957. Happy Easter.
