Misty Shop Dummy Story

A while back someone was telling me there was once a story in Misty about a girl who mis-behaves in a relative's shop & gets turned into a shoproom dummy as a consequence.

Does anyone know anymore info about this strip or if it existed?

Will say that a "Best Of Misty" annual featuring re-prints should come out every Christmas esp. given the continuing interest in the title & high prices people pay for the comics/annuals.

A great TV series would be "Tales OF Misty" , a series of stand-alone films - could be the next "Hammer House OF Horror" like series (and perhaps use some of Jinty's darker sci-fi tales too)

That sounds like "When The Lights Go out!", a complete 'Nightmare' story featured in issue 18 dated 3rd June 1978. Here's a link to the info from the Misty website showing the relevant cover to look out for:

This is one of the few Misty comics that I have. This was a one-off story, When the Lights Go Out - Nightmare, that appeared is issue #18 dated 3rd June 1978.

There was a "best of Misty" 'summer special' a few years back. The Misty website also published two of their own specials with all-new stories. I haven't got those yet, so I don't know what they were like, they could have been a bit Cosmic Ray...

It does look like the one who drew the serial 'Bright Lights...Dark Secrets' for New Mirabelle during the 1970s. Do you know what his or her first name is?
