I have a fondness for this superhero strip from Sally, but there seems to be little information available about it. My collection is woefully sparse, so although I know she debuted in the first issue, I have no idea when the series ended. It's there in the 15 November 69 issue and gone by March of 1970.
Can anyone tell me when it stopped, and if there was an actual conclusion (I'm guessing not, since she does recurr in annuals).

Answering my own question, as a kind person has helped me out. Justine ran until 17 Jan 1970, and goes out with a whimper (or perhaps a sniffle), rather than a bang.
But as consolation, the next issue introduces The Silent Shadows; three schoolgirls in World War 2 who dress up as ninjas. Because why not?

Maybe Justine was not popular enough. Her low-key exit does point to it.

Actually it looks more like a general move away from genre stories. By the time Justine ended we'd already lost Legion of Super Slaves, Tiny Tania in Space, and Girl From Tomorrow. The only one that really survived was The Cat Girl, which even outlasted Sally.

I think one of the artists of The Justice of Justine was the legendary Mike Noble - who did draw for Sally between when he walked from TV21 then re-joined his old editor Alan Fennell at Look-In.

Yes he did, and the strip looks lovely for it. Just a shame that so much story has to be fitted into the pages that the art isn't given room to breathe.
