What's Next?

Post by Little Squelchy Thing »

Hello!

I'm quite enjoying the DFC, some strips more than others (I love Super Animal Adventure Squad, Monkey Nuts and Good Dog, Bad Dog especially), but with the line-up having changed slightly recently, it got me to thinking - does anyone know who else is lined up for future issues?

I remember reading that Jamie Smart is supposed to be doing an actual strip for it somewhen (good thing!) and I believe Laura Howell is doing some stuff (also a good thing).

Who else is getting ready to launch some comic goodness within the DFC's pages?

Hi Squelchy (alias other things  ), I can tell you that "Sneaky", the strip I've been drawing with Peadar O Guilin on the writing side, is starting in issue ten, and I believe (although I'm sure he'll tell me if I'm wrong!) Jamie's strip "Fish Head Steve" is starting sometime around then too. And, according to his blog, Gary Northfield also has a strip starting in a few weeks, which looks quite adorable and which I'm looking forward to very much!

In the meantime - shameless plug coming up here - why not check out my DFC strip that's running for the next few weeks in the Guardian's Comic section on Saturdays? Episode 1 online here:

Hi

I am currently working on a strip called Lazarus Lemming with Writer John Gatehouse, which as far as I know will start in issue twenty four. The original design for the character can be seen at -

although the information on the page could do with updating

Other upcoming strips include -

St Spooky's by Tony Lee and Rob Guillory
Spectrum Black by Rob Deals
Mezolith by Ben Haggarty and Adam Brockbank
Violet by Emma Vieceli and Traci Hui ( recently in the Guardian )
Mirabilis by Dave Morris, Leo Hartas and Martin McKenna
Jack and the Jump Jet by Andrew Williamson and John Burrows
Frontier by Jason Colby and Andrew Wildman
Charlie Jefferson by Garen Ewing
Cora's Breakfast by Nick Abadzis ( recently in the Guardian )
Prince of Baghdad by Tony Leee and Dan Boultwood
Toxic Toad by Gary Boller

I hope that helps

Dave
