Strip to go newsstand in May!
As reported by John Freeman on Twitter. Selected high street shops from issue 7. Price rise at same time, but to be fair it's quite underpriced right now.
Re: Strip to go newsstand in May!
Brilliant! And as far as the price hike is concerned, that shouldn't the people who have subscribed for another six months.

They really need to find a British printer.
Re: Strip to go newsstand in May!
The Bosnian printer is also the publisher, so that will be difficult.

Re: Strip to go newsstand in May!
I'll say one thing for the Phoenix - its subscription department may have continuing severe difficulties in distinguishing its elbow from its backside, and its distribution department may be too terrified to take on Waitrose for promising to carry the comic and then screwing it over just because it could, and its PR department may still be merrily pumping out cheerful news about availability which amounts to complete lies, but it has at least managed to promise a weekly publishing schedule and reliably stick to it thus far...
Help! Help! We're being held prisoner in a signature factory!

If they've got all or most of the artwork and stories ready, they could be taking a break so that they can have several issues prepared well in advance. That way they can be shipped here well ahead of time and stored somewhere, ready for distrubution on the correct release day!

Ok so that was the update on issue 5 back on May 31st - any more in the way of news?starscape wrote:It's been printed. Sent from Bosnia. Arrived at UK. Gone to customs. Back to Bosnia. Soon to be returned to Britain.

only that there'll be no news until they are confident there is news.

Re: Strip to go newsstand in May!
That seems to be the last bit of solid news! On the facebook all they are saying is "we know it's frustrating" and "as soon as we have news, we'll let you know" and "the Bosnian couriers aren't making any sense".
Apparently Diamond, the main supplier for dedicated comic shiops, are telling some shops it's been cancelled! Though I'm presuming that's just asn assumption they have made. They're more used to DC and Marvel, who do manage to put out an issue every month on time! (But then again they've been doing it for 80 years now)
