Whizzer & Chips - 4 page ad for first issue.

In a couple of weeks it will be the 40th anniversary of the first issue of Whizzer and Chips. Quite by chance I brought home some comics from my storage unit today and one of them (a copy of Lion) contained this ad.

No Shiner. I know he wasn't in issue 1, so when did he make his debut?

Issue 2..Shiner appears...
Once the free gift advert was off the cover there was a space.and when Sid moved a space in Chips..

they made out Sid raided Chips in the first issue...

so glad they had that rival thing...made the comic last a lot longer and so many good ideas came out of it and good posters of Whizz-kids v's Chip-ites..
Terry Bave came up with the idea of the rival gangs..
