Hi everybody.
Great site you have here. I'd like to see if anyone has any memories of WHAM! comic. I loved this mag as a kid, and felt it stood out from the other British comics of the time. Not just due to it's own anarchic strips like George's Germs, Swots And The Blots,Grimly Fiendish etc, but it's inclusion of reprints of Marvel strips like The Fantastic Four really made other brit comics look tame in comparison. Anyone else here recall WHAM! comic?

Certainly do! One of my favourite comics of the sixties, along with its companion comics Smash! and Pow!

Ha! I remember Pow and Smash too. One of the joys of my childhood would be recieving a big stack of old annuals from an older cousin who'd outgrown them., and locking myself in my room for a fortnight until I'd read 'em all. Pow, Smash, Lion, Tiger, Cor, Shiver And Shake....happy days indeed.
I'm pretty sure that the first time I ever read a Spiderman strip was through a Wham annual, who used to re-print the old Steve ditko strips. Fantastic stuff.

Would anyone happen to know if Ken Reids art appeared in the later Odhams books from 1968 onwards? Looking to buy a cople of POW (1969, 1970) annuals and a WHAM annual (1968) that are a bit pricey so not looking to waste the cash if no Reid - thanks
