Re: School Fun
@ Raven: thanks for that! It's just Will Power and Sports School now.
Re: School Fun
Well, Will Power was in Jackpot - only a few years before (Jackpot started in 1979) but they could still have reprinted it.Tammyfan wrote:@ Raven: thanks for that! It's just Will Power and Sports School now.

Re: School Fun
Thank you, everyone, for identifying them all! They're all filled in now.
Re: School Fun
I am not a Corrie Street watcher, but I am sure that someone will recognise some characters from this version:

Re: School Fun
I can still remmeber the TV ad that announced the title.
A schoolboy shows the comic he's reading to teacher and its strips proudly announcing the Grange Hill one at the end.
Shame it didn't catch on/last longer.
By the way, who drew that Grange Hill strip? His work looks familiar.

Re: School Fun
I have come into possession of the School Fun annual. According to Google, it is the only one School Fun produced.
The annual differs from the holiday specials in that E.T.T., Willy Wonty and Slowcoach are present. But as with the specials, Coronation Street School and Grange Hill Juniors are absent.
It does have some non-School Fun strips which are reprinted from older funnies. Some of them were also present in the holiday specials. They are:
Dogsbodies Academy
Old Boy - anyone know where that one originally appeared?
Spy School

Re: School Fun
Old Boy originally appeared in Whizzer and Chips, while Spy School first appeared in the early issues of Whoopee.
In fact, I posted the first Old Boy strip on my blog back here.
As far as Dogsbodies Academy is concerned, I am not sure.
