That's lovely.
Shouldn't you be dead by now?

Must admit I did buy a 1938 Wizard Annual to see what the difference in context was. And wow, what a difference in social standards! Spadger's Isle will never be re-published (re-invented as Sparky and you know how much chance there is of that funny being re-printed!)
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

Picked up some Funny Folks last year and have a few Ally Sloper and so on.

And despite my Devil's Advocate opening salvo, I find the older titles fascinating. I don't think I possess anything that old (I tell a lie, I have an 1894 Boys Own Paper, but that doesn't count), my oldest being a Radio Fun from the late forties and a similarly vintaged Mickey Mouse Weekly.
Dennis Gifford's Encyclopedia Of Comics and Happy Days are fabulous nostalgia/history trips which I love diving into of a winter's day.

I have some old annuals and childrens storybooks from before 1937 (specifically the "Bumper book for boys" from 1935, a "Book for boys" which appears to be the same vintage, but could equally be from the 40's or 50's, and the 1908 Chatterbox annual that i found for ?12 buried in Oxfam), and theyre quite fun. Though not comics as such XD
