Monster From The Deep

Just finished this little quirky tale of derring-do and monstrous goings-on in the Pacific. Ande thought others would enjoy a look at it.

Now, I have some questions about the story. It feels like it is a recycle of an older text story. Can anyone confirm this?

The other question is who's art is this? I've been looking at his style for years and it's annoying the life out of me.

OK, editied so that picture now shows!
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

Without checking out the original strip and just going on the scan which is a bit indistinct I'd say the artist is Jim Bleach, but I'll have to confirm that. As to 'Monster of the Deep' being based on an earlier text story the one that springs to mind is 'The Island in E-Boat Alley' but again this would have to be confirmed when I get the time.
