Post by Peter Gray »

Got my dvd of series one of Follyfoot and seen the first two episodes tonight..
and loved it..very good characters and strong stories..
liked Dora:)
and nice seeing Q!!
and Arthur English..
Wished ITV would do more programs like this..family dramas..
Primevel being cancelled is the only one recently..lets hope ITV take more chances..

Also good on the dvd is pdf files showing Follyfoot comic pages from Look-in 70's..which you can read..love it..

It was surprising for me at the time to see Mike Noble drawing Follyfoot, as I was used to him drawing sci-fi action with TV21! He must have liked drawing horsey stories as he then followed Follyfoot with Black Beauty.

I'm sure he drew a cowboy series in TV Comic in the early sixties. Lots of gee gees in that.

Apparently he also drew a Lone Ranger strip, possibly for TV Express?

I prefered 'Catweasle'
Was it ever in Look-in?

Catweazle ran for two seasons on TV; 1970-71. A Catweazle strip ran in Look-in in 1972 but I don’t know when it started.

ISTR that Catweazle ran as a strip in Look-in from the first issue in 1971, though if it was in TV Comic in 1971 as well, maybe my memory is tricking me.

Catwesle I don't think was in the first issues of Look-in's I have issue No.9 and it's not in there. Must have been in TV Comic.

Catweazle was in TV Comic and Look-In. The main artist I remember was Gerry Embleton, though it seems the character was also drawn by John Stokes and Bill Lacey among others.
