Re: Latest news on the new UK comic STRIP MAGAZINE
Thanks for the heads up, Lew.
Would love to get my hands on issue zero but won't be able to go to the show.
Still hoping that Strip Magazine will be released sometime this year so that it can challenge the likes of 2000AD.

Pity it's not ready in time for Free Comic Book Day on Saturday!

Well - that's a marginally better cover than the issue 1 preview. Once again the cover prominently features massive tits, but hey - this time they've got big swords instead of big guns! I hope they know what they're doing turning the crass comic cover cliche-o-meter up to 10 given the relative sophistication of the contents (Hookjaw honourably excepted)...Lew Stringer wrote:Preview issue to be given away at the Bristol Comic Expo next month:

I'm more confident than I was for Clint, but I'm not sure I like the look of this faery earth magick story "Warpaint". I stopped buying 2000AD because of rubbish like that. The one about Irish rebels in the Napoleonic wars has good Commando credentials though... I'm not snobbish enough to reject suitably historical patriotic jingo even if it is directed at my own country XD

How many episodes into Black Ops Extreme will we be before they are called upon to attack some tribal people who are protesting against an oil pipeline, and realise that actually "western capitalism" is the enemy? My money's on three.
