This truly is an excellent publication. For those who ask "Why aren't comics like they used to be?" I'd urge them to try it out, because within its pages Dan Dare is exactly how he used to be! Brand new stories drawn by one of the original Dan Dare artists, Don Harley, and laid out to look like the old Eagle pages. Fantastic stuff, and worthy of support.

I looked at a few at Bristol, but the stand was far too crowded for somebody as shy as me to get the people's attention. Good to know more than one comic fan in Britiain is more interested in home-grown stuff and not granite-jawed clones in stupid costumes punching each other and screaming "NNNOOOOOO" at the sky. (I was even talking to one comic fan who had never heard of Modesty Blaise! there's really no excuse...)

I have checked out 3 or 4 of these issues in my local FORBIDDEN PLANET. At first glance, I thought this contained reprints of authentic original 'EAGLE' strips, such is the attention to detail. I am not an 'EAGLE'/DAN DARE' fan by any means, but I can appreciate that this excellent fan publication has been lovingly crafted by true enthusiasts who know their stuff inside-out.

Boasting production values that put more high-profile, 'professional' journals to shame, this is one of the most impressive tributes I have yet come accross. Contains some parody items.
