Hi, I notice this hasn't been mentioned yet in this forum:
http://thoughtbubblefestival.com/
(It says here) the largest celebration of comics in the UK.
Guests include Posy Simmonds, tim Sale, Adam Hughes, and Jeff Lemire.
I and my colleague Robert Brown will be hawking our comics at the convention hall at the famous Royal Armouries, including the brand new issue of the anthology comic Sea Mouse.
I've written about it here: http://seamousecomic.blogspot.com/2011/ ... use-2.html
And if you tire of comics (if such a thing were possible) you can look at swords and breastplates and pistols, maybe sketching them for use in your next historical comic.
And if you don't want to buy new comics, you're free to come and banter with me about old comics without buying anything!

Alas, I only found out about this festival today. And as it is a fair old trek, I will not be going (plus have to spend pennies on essentials tomorrow )
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

Well, had a fine time. I got my picture taken with Posy Simmonds who was lovely, Paul Gravett was also very friendly, and left with a handful of fine-looking comics. And thank you Kev Sutherland for buying our comic!
