Now most of us type with the skill of a three year old chimpanzee, So, could an edit reason be added to the edit button so that we can declaim the reason why we are editing our posts?

Good idea ColCool.I frequently find myself having to go back and edit typos that I don't spot first time around or add info I'd forgotten momentarily.

Sorry, I don't get what you mean here, Col. What is an 'edit reason', and why can't you just type in your reason for adding/changing your post as and when you do it if you want to explain it?
Seems an unnecessary complication to me, but maybe I'm missing something.

As we post, the old brain cells can sometimes fail us at the most important moment, so I was only suggesting that an extra field be embedded into something like the options box where you can put a reason for editing your post. Reasons could be as varied as "Kan't spell as beer to keyboard interface is undergoing downgrade! " to "Found out artist was Lopez not Cruz. Apologies". If Al wants to do it, it would be an optional box that users could use to explain an edit. Is that a better more fuller explanation?

I understand Colin, especially as this forum tries to become the authority on all things UK Comics.A noble effort indeed and helped very much by the inclusion of such stalwarts as Kashgar("We're not worthy!"),Shaqui,Steve Bright, your good self and a myriad others(covering myself here in case I left out any Top Guns ).But I think a simple later post detailing errors or omissions will suffice.
Hey,Colin,we're gonna get published..in a magazine!

Why bother when you can go /* edit - I'm thick */ somewhere in the post?

Re: Edit Reason
Like it. Always a simple solution to everything. Was just an idea as I have seen it on other boards that I frequent.AndyB wrote:Why bother when you can go /* edit - I'm thick */ somewhere in the post?
