As you may know, from time to time, the Beano has issues which cost about £2.50 instead of £1.35. Judging by this advert on the DC Thomson website, it's going to happen six times in ten weeks soon. Just a heads-up.

Bad news: Next week's Beano is £2.25.
Good news: the retail price of the main gift is £1.99, so the actual Beano will cost 26p. I haven't bought a Beano for 26p in more years than I care to remember.
Unless you believe WHSmith, which says on the displays of the gifts concerned that the real price is £2.59 or something like that. Don't believe them, the manufacturer's website confirms it's £1.99.
