this is a nice looking book..someone has done a good job here..wish it was released commercially..maybe one day..

Seeing the first Pup Parade strip is very interesting. Thanks for posting it Peter.

I agree with you about how different they look, although I think some seem more different than others. For example, Bones looks very different (he later gained a cap like Danny and became less stocky), whereas Wiggy was fully recognisable from his first experience.

They don't even seem to have names in that first strip - although we can only see half of it there.

I got the image from Phil ebay auction site..
if anyone has to hand please :) the full version of this...it would be great to see..or even a very early one..

all there dog nose are longer...they seem more dog like at the beginning..

Just been looking......and the nearest I have to the date is Christmas Beano 1968..
anyone got the first one or a closer date...

I'm old enough to remember the very first Pup Parade, Peter-----the big dustbin that was their home might have been introduced in the first story: if not, it was one of the very early ones anyway. [I seem to remember the pups needing shelter from the rain as seen in the first story here, maybe that's why they discover the large bin.]

How much is this issue going for, by the way?

EDIT; 3 pounds 25 at the time of writing: I'm tempted myself. Sure enough it was a dark winter night when I first saw this strip [December].
