Gnasher and White Fang
I am trying to find out if there was ever a Beano story featuring Gnasher based on Jack London's "White Fang" - does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Re: Gnasher and White Fang
Sounds like a comic library (fun size?) story.
Re: Gnasher and White Fang
Looked on Digifriend's list of library and fun size comics can't find anything with the title fangs on it. It was hard to find it without having the proper title. I'm sure Digifriend will know for sure if it is a fun size or library.
Re: Gnasher and White Fang
As you said, nothing like that on my list. But while the majority of them are on there, it isn't complete. If it is a library, it's one I don't have and probably one I haven't identified.

Babington do you have a scan of it?
Re: Gnasher and White Fang
I remember a Beano comic library cover with a red background that had Gnasher and Walters poodle thing with large teeth but that was back in the 80s when I was a kid don't remember the title or what number it was though...
Re: Gnasher and White Fang
I remember the White Fang story, definately, though I'm afraid I've not got any proper infromation on it. I definately remember it was in an Annual, not a Comic Library, and I'd estimate it was in the early 80s, but I'm afraid I can be of no more help than that.

It was done like a film strip..
1976 Beano book as a guess without looking..

Ah yes, that's right! It's coming back to me. There was also, connected with it, if I remember a-right, a movie-star "photograph" of Gnasher reclining, with a red rose in his teeth, and a paw print for a signature.
It may well have been the 1976 Beano Annual. Certainly somewhere around that period.

I don't have a scan unfortunately, but I'll have to get a copy of the 1976 annual and check that...

I've just checked my copy of the 1976 annual and it wasn't in there. I will check others from that era later on, as it sounds quite familiar to me too. I'll gladly upload a scan too if I find it
EDIT: Expected it to take ages to find and I got it in the second book I checked. It was in The Beano Book 1978 (so a great guess originally). Here's two scans from the story. I can do more if anyone wants to see it.
