I think it is. Although why they'd do that is a mystery! The artwork is nothing to do with the story inside, and Danny is a revamped version. Confusing.

Page 3 of that issue was obviously designed as a cover but relegated inside for some reason.

Can anyone from DCT explain why the Danny image was used as a cover?

Just remembered, it wasn't the first non-Dennis cover. In an April Fool's issue in the 9o's, Dennis had "left to join the Dandy".

This week's cover is another of David's - again in the same style as the last one.

Unless I'm wrong...there was the Hallowe'en 2000 issue that had no Dennis, but had the Bash Street Kids and a "Things that go Gnash! in the Dark" style picture of Gnasher? What I'm saying is that I can't remember seeing Dennis on it.

Apologies!

The funny thing about that is that David's cover of Danny looked like your work, Steve - so when the 16th cover looked the same style, I assumed it was David again!

lol! no worries Andy. it didn't upset me in the least, sorry if it came across that way, wasn't meant too. Dave Parkins is one of my favourite beano artist's and to have my work confused for his is nay pobs with me. love his three bear reprints . dare I say close to being as nice as baxendale's and I dont say that lightly being one of baxendales biggest fans.

cheers
