Good News....

Post by BeanoKev70 »

I've been watching the sales of The Dandy over the past few weeks in my local Asda where I pick mine up every week. They usually stock around 20 issues & by Thursday there is normally around 10 left. Went in yesterday & there was just 1 issue left. This is great news & hopefully will be a sign of things to come

That is good news, I checked my local Asda on Friday and they didn't have any copies, the week before they had around 10 copies in stock.
My initial thought was they had decided not to stock the title anymore due to poor sales.
I'm now feeling a bit more optimistic although the Dandy's poor shelf space in this particular store is not good, it was usually stuffed right at the back and without crouching down it wasn't visible, I did join in your campaign to move it forward, but return visits found it moved back, sometimes before I'd left the store!

Having to crouch to see it isn't good. Poor shelf design.

They probably reduced the order to ten after the first few weeks if they were shifting that many, though. Still, that's good figures compared to what they would have been!
