Re: This weeks Dandy
I can certainly see that issue selling a lot more than the 7000ish it's been selling, so that was a good idea.
£5.49!?! Well, it is supposed to include all of issue 1, despite that already being reprinted twice this year. Won't be surprised if the standard comic's page count is more than the normal 36 pages as well.

Re: This weeks Dandy
You mean the final dandy isn't going to say "Great news inside, chums!"?
Re: This weeks Dandy
Let's hope not that is the most depressing line ever due to what it stands for.
Re: This weeks Dandy
Yeah... in this case, though, the "great news" would be that the Dandy continues online (like I said before though, it could be a problem if you can't read it on a PC) and that Bananaman can still be seen in print in the Beano (they've been actively advertising him as a Beano character, see Nigel Parkinson's blog for photographic evidence of that). But still, there is the bad news that the print comic is ending. Of course if readers paid attention to the subscriptions advert, or the news, they'll already know.

Re: This weeks Dandy
Such a shame - these last weeks of the Dandy are marvellous.
The current issue with Bananaman on the cover says above the logo "75 glorious years! It can only be... THE DANDY" with a signpost planted in a smelly sock
"ONLY
5
ISSUES
TO GO".

Re: This weeks Dandy
Subscriber? Because that technically isn't current until tomorrow. Anyway, the five issues includes that one.

Which answers my earlier question which nobody answered
Re: This weeks Dandy
Because we couldn't be certain of the answer. That cover confirmed it.

Re: This weeks Dandy
They could have waited a few more weeks until we got another nice christmas issue
Re: This weeks Dandy
I'm guessing the next Christmas issue will be one of the first digital only Dandy's Bri.

Turns out the final print issue doubles up as a Christmas one.

Re: This weeks Dandy
If they was to offer a free print issue just to digital subscribers i would subscribe as i don't have an ipad or anything like that & will never be able to afford one & i dont like reading comic strips on computers anyway
Re: This weeks Dandy
I don't own an iPad either, so if it's not readable online like the Golden Ticket Winners Subscription of The Beano is, then I won't be able to continue reading the Dandy either. I wish they'd hurry up and reveal their plans.
