Yeah, should now be out online, but the shops will wait until August or even September.

Yes, unfortunately I believed that advance date and used that on my blog, so apologies for that.

I've just received an update from Amazon, which indicates the books will be out in August as usual:

Please be advised that we have a revised delivery date for the items you ordered on June 22 2011.

"Beano Annual 2012 (Annuals 2012)"
Estimated arrival date: August 03 2011 - August 23 2011
"Dandy Annual 2012 (Annuals 2012)"
Estimated arrival date: August 03 2011 - August 23 2011

There's an "Edit" button next to the "Quote" in the bottom-right corner of all posts written by you.

~quote snipped~
If we're going to give advice to newbies, then forget editing. That post was completely unnecessary. The post you quoted is immediately above your reply anyway.

I know I am speaking for myself, but I would rather people gave newbies advice than grief. We all have to learn sometime and to admonish people for learning is just not cricket. You will probably find that Ellis meant to post after quoting but hit the submit button by mistake and was not aware that there is an edit function available. I know that I have done that on a few boards myself.

You're probably right, but like I said, he didn't need to quote that post at all, as there were no other replies below it.

Like I said Digi, he's probably still learning the foibles of the board. I know it takes me a while on any new site! :D

Using quote means that if someone posts at the same time as you, everyone knows to whom you are replying (or in a busy thread, whether you are replying to the most recent post or not!) It is not incorrect, just not particularly necessary.
