Mods, please feel free to merge this into another thread, but the press are cottoning on to the end of the Dandy and I couldn't see where to put their comments.

Harry Mount (Daily Telegraph, 26 October, didn't see this elsewhere)

Not only is the artwork wonderful; there's also something intensely moving about the unchanging identity of the cartoon characters through the decades.

Good old Daily Mail. No wonder they're still printing.

75 facts about the Dandy. Although a few aren't true.
19. The 1970s sci-fi boom led to the first sci-fi character, Captain Zapp.
That's the villain from Jack Silver.
33. The Dandy fan club is called Desperate Dan Pie-Eater’s Club.
Clearly, they aren't aware of the more recent incarnation, which was named after Ollie Fliptrik.
52. In 1964, the now traditional Dandy summer special was launched.
I guess they aren't aware that they stopped doing them a few years ago.
54. In 2004, the Dandy was rebranded with skateboarding kid Jak as cover star.
The skateboarding kid was Ollie Fliptrik. Not the same character as the 2004 cover star.
60. The mystery bellhop mascot appeared in 958 issues without ever saying a word.
He did speak, usually to preview the next installment of the prose stories.

Pretty mean of the Daily Mail to criticise Nigel's artwork. I'm sure Paul doesn't care how he looks - as long as he's in The Dandy!

Some wonderful artwork there, Nigel! :)
