From the great Nigel Parkinson's blog it seems that a new series of Cuddles & Dimples adventures is in the works.. And not 'definitely' for an annual..

"I'm afraid it's true, fresh from my drawing board and Nika's colouring tablet comes this worrying evidence that the story of those terrifyingly awful toddlers Cuddles and Dimples is not yet over. Another phase is due for publication sometime... somewhere... just don't say you weren't warned... they're still around!"

Digifiend did ask Nigel if it was for Dandy Annual 2017 to which Nigel teased "maybe... But MAYBE NOT!'

If not it would be interesting to see where the terrible two turn up.. In the weekly Beano maybe?

Why would The Beano use that strip, when they already have a distaff counterpart in Bea the Mini-Menace and Ivy the Terrible (though Ivy doesn't currently appear)? There are certain Dandy characters that are simply off limits because of pre-existing similar Beano characters, and they're among them (others off limits would be Owen Goal for being too similar to Ball Boy, Beryl the Peril, who is too similar to Minnie the Minx, and Winker Watson, who is basically Roger the Dodger at boarding school). I'm sure it has to be either a Dandy annual or Dandy summer special. The annual was my first guess because unlike the Beano's, the Dandy Summer Specials seem to be mostly reprints.

It could be for a Summer Special- although the last few ones have been all-reprint, I don't suppose it's impossible that future instalments may have some new material- after all, the very first Beano/Dandy Summer Specials were all-reprint before they switched to new material.

With last year's Summer Special containing some 2010-2012-era mini-strips alongside the older stories, and this year's special consisting entirely of more recent material, it's possible that brand new strips are in store for next year. Or maybe I'm a crazy optimist.

Hmm, so Dennis is currently moving from Beanotown and is off to Nutty Town...

I wonder who he might encounter there!??

They should have had Eric mention he was originally from there.
