The Spirit newspaper

Post by seanphillips »

I had a lot of fun curating and contributing to a tribute to Will Eisner’s Spirit on the centenary of his birth. It was published by the http://www.comicartfestival.com and is available exclusively from http://www.page45.com/store/Spirit-Cent ... 2017-.html
Everyone involved did a single page Spirit strip, including Brendan McCarthy, Viz, John M Burns, Peter Milligan and Duncan Fegredo, and Jonathan Ross and Bryan Hitch and a text piece by Neil Gaiman.
Here’s the cover by Becky Cloonan and the page I did with Ed Brubaker…

Looks good.

The buy button doesn't work for me.

I've already got one and I can't recommend it highly enough. And it's British too! It brought back fond memories of reading the Beezer and Topper on the living room carpet when I was a kid!

I bought one from Knockabout's table at the Lakes, Sean. Fantastic publication and well worth a fiver.
