A minor anecdote.
I went to the ABC fair yesterday and picked up some 1968 copies of Wham and Smash from Phil Clarke. Imagine my surprise when I got home and flicked through them and saw Phil Clarke's name in the News from the floor of 64 section. It mentioned he'd arranged a comic convention in Birmingham and gave his name and address as the contact point. It was quite packed and I was very pleased (after 43 years of collecting) to pick up my first copy of an original Happy Days (again from Phil Clarke). All i need now is a Magic comic.

My Smash must have been a little bit later than the one on your blog as it gives Phil Clarke's name and address. Did any other forum members attend yesterday's fair?
